We have heard many Nepali artists are exploring the music into Nepali movies to make some different in the movie industry. 1974 A.D, Satya-Swaroop Archarya, Babu Bhogati, Sugam Pokharel has given their music and voice for Nepali Movies such as Kagbeni, Sano Sansar and Mero Euta Saathi Chha respectively.

1974 A.D. has come up with their 8th album "Aath Athara" without their former singer Phiroj Shyanden. Aath Athara huh??? Well there's a reason for that. Adrian Pradhan explains, "Two members of the band were born on 8 and the rest two members were born of 18." And the album was released yesterday i.e. 18th August. Good way to release an Album.

We know Nepali Music has been lacking behind these days. But our young singer Akansha Lama who gave her hit song "Timro Tyo feat Mohit Munal" few years back; has now sang for a Bollywood Movie Paathsala "Mujhe teri"; a hindi version of Timro Tyo. The song has been sang very melodously with a pretty vocal by Akansha. This may be the the turning point for nepalese artists for getting a chance to explore nepali music all over the world.

A new upcoming singer Shruti Singh Thakuri is upcoming up with her debut album "Shruti" which complies all together 7 songs such as Aakash, Pratiksha Ma, Bhanau Kasari, Maya Ko Ranga Hunna, Daibale Bichaima and so on. The music composition and the lyrics works are done by Sugam Pokharel, Tsujil Karmacharya, Mohit Munal and Alis Karki. Her first music video "Aakash" which is directed by Bibhor Pokharel has already been aired on various television channels.

Sprite Band Challenge-2 Top 3 Band (Baptizma, Inflected and Sound Cuddles) Performed live at Bhrikutimandap Ground. After competing for a month, Top 3 finalist rocked the show help on Saturday, December 19 along with renowned band of Nepal – Mukti N’ Revival and Robin N’ New Revolution. The show was kicked off by Baptizma with their number Gaun Gaun Bata Utha, which was a revolutionary song from the Nepali Movie Balidaan. The band gave their rocking performance with their two original numbers: Sano Sansar and Prerna respectively.
