The priests entered the temple at 9.02 am, this morning, after the completing the ritual of fasting in isolation for three days.

5 Sep 2009 Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the 22-party government will remain in place until the peace process and the task of constitution-drafting are completed. Referring to the claims of the Maoist leaders, Prime Minister Nepal said "those who wish to see the government collapse are simply day-dreaming". He claimed that the current government is determined to bring the peace process to a logical conclusion and write new constitution on time.

23 Aug 2009 Even as four more persons died in Doti due to diarrhea on Sunday, the health ministry has claimed the diarrhea and cholera epidemic in the mid and far western districts has come under control. Issuing a press statement Sunday, the ministry said, the epidemic in mid and far western regions had been fully controlled in all but two districts. The epidemic in Rukum and Doti is almost controlled, the statement adds.

21 Aug 2009 KATHMANDU, Aug 21 - In a shocking incident, an old-time friend stabbed a girl to death and then attempted to kill himself in Koteshwore on Thursday. The youth identified as Dan Bikram Thapa attacked the girl, identified as Sumitra Rai, on her abdomen and limbs with a sharp-edged weapon and then slit his own throat in his attempt to commit suicide.

21 Aug 2009 SYANGJA, Aug 21 - Two sisters died in a drowning accident at Damar River in Mangyamchisapaani VDC of Syangja district on Friday while their brother has gone missing. Police said three-year-old Anu and eight-year-old Jyoti died in the incident and their six-year-old brother Amrit is missing.

21 Aug 2009 The draft of revised Nepal-India trade treaty has been finalised following two days of negotiation between the visiting Nepali delegation and the Indian government representatives in New Delhi. According to Indian official news agency Press Trust of India (PTI), the Commerce Ministry of India Friday sent the final draft of the revised trade treaty to the Prime Minister's Office which will take a "final call" on the agreement to expand bilateral economic ties.
